The city train station is a short 5 minute walk as well is the main bus station and taxi rank. A brand new leisure complex called Friars Gate is to be built within a 5 minute walk from the Mews. Lichfield History Lichfield is an old market town with its heritage dating
back to times before records were kept. It played an important role
in the civil war with its world famous three spire cathedral and has
featured throughout history with association of Scholars such as Samuel
Johnson and Erasmus Darwin. Nowadays the city is a beautiful place with
its cobbled streets and old buildings. It has many large name chain
stores as well as many private stores trading in all manner of products
from art work to hand made chocolates. The night life is very busy with
many cafe bars and pubs. The city offers dozens of restaurants with
a wide variety of cuisine. |
